Job Advert Summary

Rand water is looking for a candidate to service, maintain, install and repair Instrumentation Plant and Equipment. To ensure correct readings of metering equipment.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 or Equivalent (N3 Certificate).
A relevant Diploma or Degree advantageous.
Completed a recognized apprenticeship in Instrumentation.
3 Years post apprenticeship experience in the instrumentation field.

Primary Duties

Receive job cards and attend to breakdowns and faults.
Diagnosing faults in loops, strips and affects repairs.
Reassemble instruments and test equipment.
Carry out routine maintenance and service of plant and equipment in accordance with work schedule.
Check and test completed work and sign job cards.
Carry out new installation with precision and Commissioning of installation in accordance with Wiring diagrams.
Install, test and repair of TV installation and Equipment.

PLC and SCADA as well as analytical instrumentation.

NB: The potential appointment to this position shall be subject to serving a MAXIMUM probation period of up to 12 months, based on a FLEXIBLE monthly probation evaluation process before confirmation of permanent employment in Rand Water.
