Learner Parts Marketer

About this role

VKB Mechanisation, part of the VKB Group in Prieska, Northern Cape, supports farmers with agricultural machinery, parts and technical solutions. This learner post helps you build a career in parts sales, stock control and customer service in the agricultural machinery industry.

What you’ll do

• Help customers with parts enquiries and sales, and build trust with farmers and clients.
• Learn how to find and source agricultural machinery parts accurately.
• Help manage stock, including checking availability and ordering based on how fast items move.
• Help receive, unpack and shelve stock, and keep shelves, displays and labels neat.
• Help with stock counts and inventory checks.
• Capture sales orders and quotations under supervision, and handle cash and card sales at the till.
• Support the workshop and service department with the parts they need.

What you need

• Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) with Mathematics.
• Good communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
• Basic computer skills.
• Good with numbers and careful with paperwork.
• Willingness to learn about machinery and technical products.
• A customer-focused attitude and a neat, professional appearance.
• Advantageous: a valid driver’s licence.
