Positions:

Customer Service Associate – Seasonal/Contract Role with a Fixed Term and Work from Home Arrangement
Seasonal employment with a contract lasting for three months.
Hourly Rate of Pay: 67.35 South African Rand

Locations:

Work from home in South Africa (Western Province, Gauteng, KwaZulu Natal, Eastern Cape, Free State, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, Northern Cape, and North West).

What responsibilities do you anticipate having as a Customer Service Associate?

As an Amazon Customer Service Associate, you have a very specific job purpose, which is to protect our customers from problems, answer their questions, and make them happy.
You will be the first point of contact for our customers in North America and the United Kingdom and will be responsible for responding to their inquiries via phone, chat, and/or email.
These inquiries may concern anything from orders and products to payment issues and website guidance.
Our Customer Service Associates make use of a wide range of tools in order to effectively navigate, research, and review potential solutions, as well as communicate with customers.

What time do you open and close?

This position requires working a variety of hours in order to accommodate the times of day when our clients require our assistance the most.
You will work overnight shifts, day shifts, and late shifts, and your work week will be a minimum of 40 hours, for example, four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts.
We schedule based on a variety of different shift patterns operating 24 hours a day, Sunday through Monday, so that we can meet the demands of our customers and provide excellent service.
You can expect to receive your work schedule at least two weeks in advance, and there is a possibility that your shifts will switch up every two weeks.
You may be required to work on a national holiday, in which case you will receive appropriate compensation.
As the beginning date of your new job draws nearer, you will acquire additional information regarding your precise schedule.

What kinds of credentials do we anticipate receiving from you?

18 years old is the minimum age requirement.
Have the legal ability to find employment in South Africa
Candidates must have a qualification equivalent to or higher than Level 4 of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) or Grade 12 to be considered.
A minimum overall score of 50% is required, as well as a score of at least 50% on the English section.
Solid communication abilities in English, both orally and in writing (fluency in both preferred).
Work experience involving the use of a computer
The ability to work a variety of shifts from Monday through Sunday, all of which fall within a 24-hour period

Availability to work varying shifts, including early, late, overnight, weekend, and overtime as needed, as well as a willingness to do so.
You’re going to need a dedicated workspace that’s calm and free of interruptions (like an office with a table and chair).

Internet services that do not have a minimum download speed of 20 Mbps and an upload speed of 20 Mbps or higher (including ADSL, LTE, WiFi, and AirFiber) are not eligible for this role.

What kind of experience is necessary?

1 or more years of experience working as a customer service associate, preferably in an inbound role, in a business process outsourcing (BPO) or contact center (Preferred), and/or
1+ years of experience working in a high-end retail environment providing customer service
