About this role
MORE Collection is looking for an Assistant Facilitator to support the principal facilitators at MORE Field Guide College in Thabazimbi, Limpopo. You will help deliver training that follows the approved curriculum and FGASA standards.
What you’ll do
- Keep students informed about the daily programme and general schedule.
- Present lectures, workshops, training sessions and team-building activities.
- Lead field activities such as game drives, walks, trails and field observations.
- Help keep the course syllabus current so it meets all statutory requirements and FGASA endorsement.
- Guide and support students with different learning styles, and send monthly progress reports to the safari manager.
- Look after training equipment, firearms records, vehicle checks and basic campus maintenance, and report repairs quickly.
- Help the camp manager with admin such as reports, assessment submissions and registrations, and share content for the college’s digital media.
What you need
- At least 1 year of experience working in the bush as a field guide.
- FGASA NQF2 and Apprentice Trails Guide (essential).
- Driver’s licence and a current PrDP (essential).
- Current ARH (essential).
- First Aid Level 2.
- Experience in a training environment (advantageous).
- Computer literacy, with a good working knowledge of the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint and similar tools).
