Logistics Supervisor

About this role

Impala Platinum (Implats) is recruiting a Logistics Supervisor for a mine in Limpopo. The job is permanent and focuses on keeping your area running safely, to standard, and ready for audits.

What you’ll do

• Make sure the workshop meets legal requirements. Spot deviations from legal procedure, investigate them and report your findings.
• Look after safety installations and keep a safe working area for everyone.
• Plan and schedule routine maintenance, checks and repairs on equipment and components.
• Carry out daily inspections of machines, and report any defective equipment.
• Help coordinate support during breakdowns and emergencies.
• Manage contractors and keep legal files complete and up to date.
• Track material use, cut waste and look for ways to improve productivity and lower costs.

What you need

• Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 (essential).
• A relevant Trade Certificate (essential).
• 3 years of surface area related experience (essential).
• 5 years of experience in an occupation that requires a Trade Certificate (essential).
• Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word and Excel (essential).
• A valid medical certificate, or the ability to be found medically fit to obtain one (essential).
