Assistant Store Manager

About this role

Mr Price Group is looking for an Assistant Store Manager for its Power Fashion store in Sasolburg, Free State. You will support the Store Manager and take charge of the store when they are away.

What you’ll do

• Stand in for the Store Manager when they are not at the store.
• Keep the store clean, well merchandised and secure, and help keep stock losses low.
• Make sure all company procedures are followed.
• Help the Store Manager lead and manage the staff.
• Run the cash office and make sure front-end controls are in place, including banking of money.
• Look after customers and suggest sales ideas that help the store reach its targets.

What you need

• Matric / Grade 12. Maths is an advantage. NQF Level 4 is also accepted.
• Previous experience managing people.
• Previous experience managing a department.
• Clothing retail experience is highly advantageous.
• Strong communication and admin skills.
• Good organisational and planning skills.
• Ability to make decisions and keep productivity up.
• Leadership skills, and an enthusiastic, proactive and self-motivated attitude.
• High ethical standards, honesty and integrity.
