Banking Wealth Advisor

About this role

FirstRand, through FNB, is looking for a Banking Wealth Advisor to join its private banking team in Polokwane. You will work with a team of Private Bankers to look after a portfolio of private wealth clients.

The role centres on giving clients sound financial advice, meeting sales targets and finding new business opportunities.

What you’ll do

• Manage and grow a portfolio of private wealth clients, including bringing in new clients and generating new leads.
• Give clear, well-timed financial advice that suits each client’s needs, using current information and market trends.
• Analyse client portfolios and contact clients proactively to support sales.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders across the FirstRand Group.
• Keep accurate records and prepare reports that track progress and help the business make decisions.
• Follow all relevant laws, regulations, policies and internal processes for your area of specialisation.

What you need

• Relevant experience in banking, wealth management or financial advice (the advert does not specify a number of years).
• Strong sales skills and a drive to meet financial targets.
• Good communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong planning, administration and reporting skills.
• Advantageous: a willingness to learn new ways of working and to request training where needed.
