Commissioned Financial Adviser

About this role

Old Mutual, one of Africa’s leading insurance companies, is looking for a Financial Adviser to work from Springbok. The role helps existing and new clients understand their money goals and choose financial plans and products that fit them.

What you’ll do

• Find out what each client needs by asking good questions about their finances and goals.
• Give sound financial advice and recommend plans and solutions that suit each client’s situation.
• Put agreed plans into action and keep them on track.
• Win new business by generating and following up on your own leads.
• Grow the products and services you sell to existing clients.
• Keep accurate sales records and use the sales software to manage your pipeline.

What you need

• An NQF Level 5 qualification: a higher certificate, advanced certificate or occupational certificate, or an equivalent.
• Strong sales skills, including consultative selling, probing questions and qualifying prospects.
• Good oral communication and the ability to build trust with customers.
• Comfort using sales software and managing sales data.
• A self-motivated, entrepreneurial attitude and the drive to work mostly on your own leads.
• Ability to build networks and work well with stakeholders.
