Shop Assistant / Cashier Job description :

To carry out all of the operational activities at the point of sale in a timely and effective manner while maximizing productivity.

Knowledge:

Calculations in elementary mathematics
With experience in the retail and FMCG industries and a solid grasp of merchandising and promotion principles
A comprehension of the processes involved in stock management
Excellence in knowledge of and service to customers

Minimum requirements
Experience:

Experience working with customers in a retail or fast moving consumer goods store environment is a desirable qualification.

Education: Essential: Grade 12

At the grade 12 level, a math score of 50 and an English score of 50 are both desirable.
