REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates must demonstrate their ability to perform the essential responsibilities of the position. A qualification in Grade 12 will be viewed favorably.
Obtain your South African citizenship.
Ability to read and write effectively is essential.
Communication, numeracy, and literacy are three fundamental skills.
The ability to operate straightforward machines and equipment.
Must have no previous criminal / departmental convictions or criminal / departmental cases pending.
All applicants who wish to be considered will be subjected to a screening procedure that includes both a security check and a fingerprint verification.
Willing to work additional hours when they are required.

DUTIES:

Maintain a high standard of cleanliness inside and outside SAPS facilities where routine tasks are to be performed.
These responsibilities could involve the interior or exterior of the building.
Perform recurring tasks such as dusting furniture and floors and taking out the trash bags.
The sweeping and mopping of each and every tiled floor.
Maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, bathrooms, and utensils. Securely storing and employing a variety of cleaning supplies.

From January 31, 2015, all new recruits to the South African Police Service must give a buccal (inside cheek) sample so that their forensic DNA profile can be made.

The sample’s forensic DNA profile will be in the Elimination Index of the National Forensic DNA Database. All of the finalists will have their fingerprints taken and their references checked.
People who lost their jobs, retired early, or retired for health reasons are not included.
