1. Handyman(Western Cape)

Handyman role will carry out assistance tasks were allocated, will be involved during maintenance, the renewal of boards and door locks, transport utensils/equipment and furniture, refill utensils such as stationery and assist with housekeeping.

Requirements and experience:

  • A completed Grade 12 qualification or an equivalent qualification is accepted.
  • An experience of at-least 12 months in a similar field.

The skills and competencies necessary for this job are being able to plan and organize scope of work, housekeeping, manage projects’ needs and requirements, adhere to safety working conditions, maintain quality in all projects you work on, be willing to work overtime and also working in a team.

2. Artisan Electrical (Western Cape)

The Artisan will perform planned maintenance on electrical equipment during outages or when requested by management.

Duties for the role are as follows:

  • Performing maintenance on single phase and 3 phase equipment.
  • Be available during call-outs to perform repairs.
  • Monitor all electrical equipment for smooth operation.
  • Perform all necessary electrical duties requested on site.
  • Adhere to safety working conditions

SABC urges applicants who are interested to have a completed N3 Electrical qualification, Trade test or any equivalent qualification, Electrical Wire-man’s license and 3 years’ worth experience working in maintenance and carpentry.

As an Electrical Artisan, you must be knowledgeable in maintenance and installation practices, be able to work in a team, utilize machinery safely, able to safely isolate faulty circuits and perform repairs and Knowledge of HT Switching, operation of UPS Machines, Back-up generators, Wiring and reticulation of the entire buildings as well as Studio’s.

3. Artisan Mechanical

The role of the Artisan is to report to the Logistics manager,perform maintenance and repairing tasks and work safely. Chosen applicants will also perform repairs on refrigerators, housekeeping, carry out installations and inspection.

The minimum requirements are as follows:

  • Minimum of NTC3 or N3 & Trade Test Certificate/equivalent qualification
  • A min. of 3 Years’ experience in a mechanical maintenance and building environment.
  • Experience on plumbing systems for high rise buildings is also required.


  • Knowledge of fire protection reticulation equipment.
