• You have to be a citizen of South Africa.
• Your age must be between 18 and 34.
• Grade 12 or equivalent

Required Competency(s):

• Grade 12 or equivalent

Yes Program Related Minimum Experience:

Should not have been employed permanently with a single employer continuously for more than one year;
Should not have been studying full time in the year of employment;
Should not have previously participated in or registered for the YES initiative;
Should not have a criminal record;
The applicants will have to go through a recruitment process, and if they are successful, they will be placed in various Eskom Operations divisions.

Yes Program Principal Duties and Obligations

The Presidency is leading a public-private initiative to address the crisis of high unemployment among young people in our country, and the Youth Employment Service (YES) is a component of this initiative.
In order to meet the requirements of the BBBEE, Eskom is actively seeking to employ South Africa’s young people who are currently without jobs.

Young people in South Africa who are eager to get their foot in the door of the workforce are encouraged to apply for entry-level positions in the dynamic energy industry, where they have the opportunity to gain first-hand experience that can transform their lives.
Take advantage of this chance to gain valuable work experience if you are able to meet the requirements that have been listed.
Candidates who are selected will be offered a contract to work for Eskom for a period of one year in one of their operations located across all South African provinces.
