Minimum Requirements
Grade 12/ Equivalent
Desired education: N1 in Electrical Trade Theory
0-1 year working experience in a technical environment.
Valid driver’s license with ability to pass the RW K53 test
Primary Duties
Assist the Artisan with maintenance tasks and inspections
Loading and unloading of tools and equipment on to and from transport
Inspect and repair all lighting on site.
Perform standby duties and work overtime as and when required.
Digging of trenches during installation and removal of electrical cables.
Secure and exercise control over and Rand waters allocated tools
Follow all safety precautions when working with tools and equipment
Report all plant defects related to health and safety
Complete assigned work orders and submit them for capturing
Maintain housekeeping in and around areas of work
Cleaning of motorized control Centers MCC’s
Adhere to access control systems
Knowledge
Ability to communicate well (both verbally and in writing)
Ability to complete job cards
Ability to follow electrical work instructions/ procedures
Skills
Ability to use basic hand tools
Ability to do basic electrical fault finding
Ability to do minor problem solving
