We are looking for an experienced Artisan Assistant who can contribute to the overall performance of the equipment by doing maintenance jobs that are less complicated and doing so safely, as well as assisting Artisans with maintenance duties that are more complex.

You will be responsible for the following things as an Artisan Assistant:

Carry out tasks related to the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of the instrumentation, air conditioning, and electrical and mechanical workshops’ respective equipment.
Obtain a license as a “authorised workman” in accordance with the Sappi lock out protocol, and support production staff with the isolation process wherever it is necessary.

To comply with the regulations, trash must be handled in a safe manner while also being identified, sorted, and disposed of in the appropriate waste streams.
Correctly selecting and using the appropriate tools for the task at hand, as well as maintaining those instruments, is essential.

Obtain the necessary licenses for the mobile equipment that may be located on Ngodwana Mill.
Help Artisans with problems like breakdowns and opportunity maintenance, and carry out jobs according to their degree of ability.
Relocation and transportation of workplace equipment in response to changing needs.
Develop measures for safety and cleanliness in the workplace in order to provide a clean and risk-free working environment.
Check to verify that the part satisfies the relevant legislative requirements in every way before moving on.

What exactly are we trying to find?

Qualification equivalent to NQFL 4 in both mathematics and science
Valid driving license No Experience Required
