Aspiring Financial Adviser

About this role

Old Mutual, one of Africa’s leading insurance companies, is recruiting Aspiring Financial Advisers for its Ladybrand branch. The role covers the wider area of Aliwal North, Theunissen, Ladybrand and Ficksburg. Your job is to help customers reach their life goals through good financial advice.

What you’ll do

• Get to know customers and find out what financial needs they have.
• Give clear, honest financial advice to each customer.
• Recommend financial plans and products that suit each customer’s situation.
• Put agreed plans and solutions into action with the customer.
• Build trust and keep good relationships with customers over time.
• Find new sales opportunities and follow up on leads.
• Record sales and customer information accurately, using the sales software.

What you need

• Grade 12, a school leaving certificate, or a National or Occupational Certificate at NQF Level 4 or equivalent (required).
• Strong oral communication skills.
• A self-motivated, action-oriented approach.
• An entrepreneurial mindset and a drive to build your own client base.
• Good customer focus and the ability to build networks.
• Basic computer skills for sales data and software use.
