Asset Finance Consultant at Absa – Nelspruit

About this role

Absa, one of South Africa’s long-standing banks, is recruiting a full-time Asset Finance Consultant based in Nelspruit. The role supports the planning and delivery of business operations and helps the bank grow its business bulk acquisition work.

What you’ll do

• Build and keep professional relationships with industry leaders, regulators, policy makers and business partners who can help develop new ventures.
• Own and drive the business bulk acquisition strategy, in line with the Absa business unit plan.
• Research the market every day through articles, publications, the internet and networking, so you know what is changing.
• Coach, mentor and manage team members to meet business targets and grow their skills.
• Stay current on internal policies, banking legislation and industry changes that could affect the business unit.

What you need

• A bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce or Management Studies, or a related professional qualification (required).
• Experience in asset finance, business banking or a related sales or relationship role is advantageous.
• People management experience is advantageous.
• Strong networking, research and communication skills.
