Assistant Officer Fleet Services

About this role

Eskom is looking for an Assistant Officer for Fleet Services in the Business Support department at Koeberg, Western Cape. The post supports Eskom with safety, customer service and technical fleet management.

What you’ll do

• Handle fleet customer service and prepare fleet reports.
• Manage vehicle replacements and the disposal process.
• Investigate vehicle misuse and accidents.
• Monitor vehicles and provide support services for the fleet.
• Oversee fuel management and the business vehicle scheme.
• Control fleet operations, including vehicle defects, and keep fines and licence records for the fleet up to date.
• Recover fleet costs and keep fleet data accurate.

What you need

• National Diploma in Road, Transport, Logistics or Supply Chain at NQF 6 with 240 credits.
• At least 2 years of fleet-related experience.
• A valid driver’s licence.
• Computer literacy, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SAP and fleet management software.
• Fuel management and fleet management system experience.
• Knowledge of Eskom’s business processes, fleet policies and transport legislation.
• Ability to do reconciliations.
• Good verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.
• Supervisory skills, customer relations skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Strong judgement, high ethical standards, integrity, honesty and professionalism.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
