Assistant Store Manager

About this role

Mr Price Group is looking for an Assistant Store Manager for its Power Fashion store in Mafikeng, North West. You will act as the second in charge and step in for the Store Manager when they are away.

What you’ll do

• Stand in for the Store Manager when needed.
• Keep the store clean, well merchandised and secure, and help keep stock losses low.
• Make sure all company procedures are followed.
• Support the Store Manager with day-to-day staff management and discipline.
• Run the cash office and keep front-end controls in place, including banking of money.
• Plan and introduce sales initiatives that help the store reach its targets.

What you need

• Matric / Grade 12 or NQF Level 4.
• Mathematics is advantageous.
• Previous experience managing people.
• Previous experience managing a department.
• Clothing retail experience is highly advantageous.
• Strong communication and admin skills.
• Good organisation and planning skills.
• Ability to make decisions and keep productivity up.
• Leadership skills and an enthusiastic attitude.
• High ethical standards, honesty and integrity.
• Proactive and self-motivated.
