Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Least 1 years experience as a Wireman
• Practical electrical/electronic information invaluable

Main job Purpose:

To help the installations Technician with installing of cabling of an alarm system, drilling and have the option to connect detectors and the board. Have the option to power up and walk-test the system. A Technical Assistant at this level is reasonably qualified and experienced (to the Organization’s principles) to introduce the cabling of a caution framework as well as Intercom, CCTV and Access Control systems, do drilling all alone, connect detectors and the alarm control board and furthermore to power up and walk-test the alarm system without the assistance of an expert present.

Duties:

• Help technician with establishments of alert and security equipment
• Help technician by eliminating old equipment from clients premises
• Help by running new cables, applying glue, drill openings, mount detectors, panels, contacts, lights, and so forth
• Inform technician regarding any shortages or constraints of the equipment and tools
• Inform technician regarding cabling required for an installation
• Help technician with client works and have the option to do a handover
• Clean vehicles and premises after an installation
