Branch External Sales and Service Advisor

About this role

FirstRand, through FNB, is looking for a Branch External Sales and Service Advisor for its Points of Presence team in Pretoria. You will meet walk-in and existing clients in a busy service branch and help them find banking products that suit their needs.

What you’ll do

• Build and look after long-term client relationships that support keeping and growing their business with FNB.
• Find out what each customer needs and guide them to the right banking platform or product.
• Give clear financial advice that follows FAIS, FICA and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles.
• Keep client records and documents accurate and complete.
• Manage leads, referrals and follow-ups within the agreed turnaround times.
• Work towards your personal and branch sales and service targets.
• Keep up to date with industry trends and FNB product knowledge.

What you need

• Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 (minimum).
• 1–3 years of experience in customer-facing work, service delivery or client support in financial services.
• Advantageous: an NQF Level 5 certificate in Banking, Business Administration, Customer Service or a related field recognised by FAIS.
• A solid understanding of FAIS, TCF and client-focused advice.
• Proven ability to meet sales, service and compliance targets.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Persuasive selling skills and strong planning and organisation skills.
• Attention to detail and a high awareness of compliance.
