POSITION DESCRIPTION

We seek a General Worker who will report directly to the Branch Manager.
You will ensure that all tires are in good condition.

Responsibilities:

1.Tyre Maintenance

All vehicles must leave the lot with tires that comply with SLA;
Every vehicle is inspected at least once per month;
Perform pressure maintenance and accurately record readings on Survey Sheet;
Measure the tread depth in three sections of the tread and record on the Survey Sheet;
Install valve caps on all wheel positions and valve extensions on all dual positions;
All tire changes are recorded on a Tyre Change Slip;

All wheel changes must comply with SLA requirements;
Mismatched tread, size, and status must be rectified;
Remove and inspect any tires with a pressure reading below 15% of the recommended pressure;
Brand tires in accordance with the Bridgestone Commercial and Client Contract;
Torque all wheel positions a minimum of once per month;
Report all wheel flaws using the Tire Action Report;
Inspect and clean the rims prior to installing tires.

Stock Stock is recorded daily in a Bridgestone Commercial Stock Book;
Stock must be recorded by size and brand number; daily stock must be reported to the customer. (Sign Inventory Sheet)
All in-stock tires must have a brand number for identification purposes.

2.Security & Safety

Lifting a motor vehicle properly; utilizing the proper equipment for the job.
Correctly mount tires on the rim;
Install wheels properly on motor vehicles;
Constantly wearing Bridgestone Commercial PPE;
Always handle tools with care and keep them clean;
Maintain a spotless workplace and property;

Always store machines and tools correctly and safely;
Dressing rooms are always neat and presentable;
Ensure that no property of the company is damaged;
The tires are neatly packaged and clearly labeled to facilitate identification;
Comply with the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act;
Ensure the company-provided Personal Protective Equipment and facilities are in good working condition and clean.

3.Administration

Capture all tyre movements in a Bridgestone Commercial Tyre Change Slip Book.
All tires delivered to the factory must be recorded in the Factory Control Book;
Maintain a Branding Register of all branded tyres;
All documents must be kept in a secure, dry location.

4.Customer Relations

Identify all Maintenance-Related Problems and report them to the client;
Maintain a good working relationship with the client;
Carry out all reasonable requests and instructions, given verbally or in writing, that fall within the parameters of one’s own line of work.
Always ensure customer satisfaction.

General Responsibilities

After use, torque wrench springs relax;
Daily lubrication of impact; daily draining of water traps and compressor;
Daily cleaning and storage of equipment;
Compliance with on-site health and safety procedures.

Requirements:

National Senior Certificate : English Proficiency
Two years of tire experience
