Business Partner Human Resources

About this role

South32 is hiring a Business Partner Human Resources for its Hillside Aluminium smelter in Richards Bay. Hillside produces primary aluminium for local and export buyers. The role supports functional leaders with people matters across the full employee life cycle.

What you’ll do

• Coach and advise leaders on leadership, talent development, employee relations and team building.
• Deliver people programmes such as employee engagement and culture initiatives, and give practical feedback.
• Support workforce planning so the business has the people and skills it needs to meet its goals.
• Advise on organisation and role design, job grading and the remuneration framework.
• Help govern key HR processes, including recruitment, reward and benefits, and talent management.
• Work with the wider HR team to meet global HR plans and company standards, and promote better ways of working.
• Review HR trends and metrics and build local solutions with the client group.

What you need

• At least 4 years of human resources experience in an industrial environment.
• A degree, BTech or diploma in Human Resources Management or Business Administration.
• Strong coaching, advisory and stakeholder skills.
• Experience with workforce planning, job grading or reward is advantageous.
