Cashier

About this role

Pick n Pay is looking for a full-time Cashier at its store in Klerksdorp, North West. The job keeps checkouts running smoothly and gives customers a friendly, helpful service.

What you’ll do

• Set up and look after your till float at the start of your shift.
• Scan customers’ items quickly and accurately at the till.
• Take every type of payment and handle each transaction correctly.
• Help stop stock loss, waste and damage.
• Keep your workspace clean, tidy and safe, and clean your equipment to the store’s standards.
• Follow the store’s security rules at all times.
• Answer customers’ questions politely and with care.

What you need

• Grade 12 (matric).
• You must live close to the store.
• Basic computer skills (advantageous).
• Good English communication skills.
• Good with numbers.
• Clear communication and a helpful attitude.
• Ability to follow processes and instructions.
• A focus on customer service.
• Good time management.
• Honest, ethical behaviour.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing needs.
