Description of the Job (Cashual Cashiers)
The Baywest location of Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking to hire experienced Casual Cashiers to assist customer service at the point of sale while also guaranteeing a world-class shopping experience for customers.
Record all client transactions using the Dis-Chem operating system in accordance with the company’s rules and standard operating procedures, with no tolerance for mistakes and the removal of any potential for fraud.
Cashual Cashiers Minimum Requirement
Essential:
Grade 12 / Matric
A minimum of six months’ experience working in cashiering or operating tills is required.
Knowledgeable with computers and Microsoft Office
Competence in the use of numbers
Exceptional fluency and grasp of the English language
Primitive support for customers
ready and prepared to work during normal business hours
Description of the Job:
Maintain compliance with the rules and protocols for customer service established by Dis-Chem.
Create a respectful and businesslike connection with your clients.
Bring comments and concerns from customers to the attention of the Frontline Supervisor or the management of the business.
Maintain the hourly rate determined by the number of customers served.
Be informed of the current deals and discounts that are being offered.
Make sure that your coworkers and your clients are not put in any danger.
Conduct and manage communication according to the Dis-Chem 5 star principles
Take responsibility for the flow of funds
Make sure the supervisor has authorized and signed off on any line voids or pricing adjustments before implementing them.
Customers may have their stuff exchanged, and returned items are accepted if they have been given permission to do so.
Carry out all transactions, including the receipt and processing of payments (in the form of cash, bank cards, vouchers, coupons, and any other means of payment accepted by Dis-Chem).
Treat all customer loyalty cards, including those belonging to our accelerator partners (Discovery Health Care, Medihelp Lifestage, Momentum Multiply, Legacy Lifestyle, ABSA Rewards and eBucks)
Ensure that currency is put in the drop safe in accordance with Dis-Standard Chem’s Operating Procedures.
Make sure that only you have access to your code and password, that it is kept secure, and that it is updated on a regular basis.
Make sure that all of the things, stock, and scripts that are being sent out have been scanned and paid for.
Also, make sure that the till is maintained in a safe and secure location at all times.
Treat daily receipts as sensitive information, and share them only with management.
Maintain vigilance, be able to identify questionable behavior, and communicate it to management.
Respond to questions about the items for sale in the shop.
Observe the security guidelines and protocols established by Dis-Chem.
