Chief Advisor Organisational Design

About this role

Eskom, South Africa’s state-owned electricity utility, is recruiting a Chief Advisor Organisational Design for its Sunninghill base. The role helps the business shape its structures so teams can meet their goals. It sits in the Organisational Culture and Performance department, within the Organisational Design and Change Management business unit.

What you’ll do

• Design and put in place organisational structures across the business.
• Review and redesign reporting relationships and structures so they support business objectives.
• Design and test research methods and typologies that make structures more effective.
• Build and carry out organisational design strategy and policy.
• Give strategic advice and expert support, both as a specialist and in day-to-day delivery.
• Oversee organisational design products and services, and resolve complex service requests and issues.

What you need

• A B Degree, B Tech or Advanced Diploma at NQF 7 (360 credits) in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Management, Technology or Commerce.
• 7 years of relevant specialist experience in organisation development, consulting or human resources.
• Specialist knowledge of organisational design methodologies, tools and principles.
• Working knowledge of ARIS (Architecture of Integrated Information Systems) and standard organisational design tools.
• Experience in qualitative and quantitative research and development.
• Project management principles and how to apply them.
• Understanding of business models, organisational processes and systems.
• Strong analytical thinking, facilitation and communication skills.
• Computer literacy, flexibility and a well-organised way of working.
• Ability to coach and mentor people and build their capability (advantageous).
