Senior Advisor Engineering Services

About this role

Eskom is looking for a Senior Advisor Engineering Services to join the Radiation Protection and Chemistry Management division at Koeberg Power Station, near Cape Town in the Western Cape. The role gives engineering support to the division and helps keep its processes safe, compliant and improving.

What you’ll do

• Put plant management processes in place across the division.
• Monitor engineering processes and report on how well they comply with requirements.
• Lead peer reviews and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage the system tracking and maintenance function.
• Carry out risk analysis.
• Make sure policies and legislation are followed.

What you need

• A B Degree, B Tech, National Higher Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a technical field, at NQF 7 with 360 credits.
• At least 5 years of technical experience.
• Behavioural strengths: integrity, trustworthiness, a customer focus, ethical conduct and safety consciousness.
• Leadership skills: working well in a team and mentoring and coaching others.
• Knowledge of plant fundamental policies, engineering theory, and root cause analysis.
• Extensive knowledge of national and international engineering codes and standards, and of relevant processes, procedures, guidelines and legislation.
• Technical problem solving, analytical, communication and presentation skills.
• Technical report writing and financial management skills.
