About this role
Nedbank is looking for a Client Advisor to work from its Tembisa branch. The role helps clients get the most out of self-service digital banking while meeting their sales and service needs.
What you’ll do
- Listen to clients and offer the right product or service for their situation.
- Show clients how to sign up for and manage their accounts on digital platforms, and explain the benefits of self-service channels.
- Explain product features and benefits, and record each client’s needs before suggesting solutions.
- Keep clients updated on their applications, queries and requests, and take ownership of each request until it is resolved.
- Work with colleagues in other teams to build complete financial solutions, and pass on referrals and leads.
- Make sure new clients are onboarded according to Nedbank’s policies and procedures.
- Follow FICA, FAIS and other compliance rules, including keeping client information up to date and reporting suspicious transactions.
What you need
- A diploma (NQF Level 6).
- 1 to 2 years of experience in retail or banking client service, sales or relationship management.
- A FAIS approved qualification (advantageous).
- Product sales skills and knowledge of sales strategies and products.
- Understanding of customer service principles, customer relationship management, and Nedbank policies and procedures.
- Strong skills in building customer loyalty and trust, and in persuading clients through sales conversations.
- Comfort with technology, good planning and organising skills, and the ability to adapt and keep learning.
Is this job for you?
This role suits someone who enjoys helping people with their money and who has some sales or client service experience in banking or retail. You should be comfortable explaining digital products and be careful with compliance rules.
Tips before you apply
- Have your diploma certificate and any FAIS certificate ready to upload, with your ID and a current CV.
- On your CV, list your banking or retail client service results, such as targets met or clients served, so the 1 to 2 years of experience is clear.
- Give a short example of how you explained a digital product or service to a customer who found it hard to understand.
