About this role

Clinix Health Group is hiring a driver for its Johannesburg operations. The driver moves resources, staff and patients to and from Clinix hospitals and facilities. The work needs a careful, professional driver who understands how a hospital runs.

What you’ll do

• Check your allocated vehicle before every trip and make sure it meets the National Road Traffic Act requirements.
• Report any maintenance problems to the Fleet Administrator or Group Fleet Manager.
• Plan your trips so you save time and fuel.
• Transport patients, staff and other customers safely.
• Keep your daily log and inspection sheets up to date.
• Refuel vehicles with petrol, diesel, oil and coolant under Group Fleet Management rules, and keep the Fuel Card Register updated.
• Park and lock vehicles securely, and store keys in the set secure place.
• Handle accidents: tell the Fleet and EMS Manager, report to SAPS within 24 hours, get a case number, and complete an incident report on the same day.

What you need

• Grade 12 (matric).
• Code 10 driver’s licence.
• A valid PDP (professional driving permit).
• Previous experience as a driver (advantageous).
• Advanced driving skills.
• Good knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
• Customer service skills.
• Understanding of hospital operations (advantageous).
• Clear oral communication.
