Creditors Supervisor

About this role

Toys R Us and Babies R Us South Africa are looking for a Creditors Supervisor to work from their head office in Durban. The role keeps the creditors department accurate, on time and running well, and it supports the wider finance team.

What you’ll do

• Review and reconcile creditors accounts, and resolve debit balances with suppliers and clerks.
• Prepare supplier deduction invoices, payment batches for the treasury team, and monthly reports and variance reports for the clerks.
• Handle supplier queries, agree trading terms, and help suppliers with credit limit increases.
• Manage monthly capturing on SAGE, including uploading GINS and returns from the Retail Management System.
• Prepare invoices and statements, follow up on debtor non-payments, and calculate growth incentives.
• Support internal and external audit requests, and help with banking detail changes under the standard operating procedure.
• Train the team and help bring in new systems so that processes run more efficiently and monthly deadlines are met.

What you need

• A BCom Accounting degree.
• At least 3 years of experience in a relevant finance or creditors role.
• Working knowledge of SAGE 300.
• Knowledge of financial regulations.
• Strong management and team motivation skills, including the ability to lead teams to meet tight deadlines.
• Good analytical skills and the ability to prepare financial reports.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle conflict and solve problems.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage several projects at once.
