For the purpose of enhancing the quality of service delivery, the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) has started the process of digitizing more than 350 million paper records and transferring them to an electronic version.

By offering unemployed young people assistance on fixed-term contracts, the DHA, in collaboration with the Department of Employment and Labour and the Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator as part of the National Pathway Management Network, hopes to contribute to the employment creation goals and strategic priorities of the Presidential Employment Stimulus program.

WHO CAN APPLY? (everything will be double checked)

South African nationals between the ages of 18 and 35 years old
Your credentials ought to be in line with the very minimal requirements of the position you’re trying to get.
Lack of prior convictions and an unblemished credit history are required.
The duration of the contracts will be for 36 months.

ROLES AND STIPENDS

  • Team Leaders (210 posts) – R6,500 per month
  • Tech Support (24 posts) – R9,500 per month
  • Managers (6 posts) – R14,250 per month

All positions will be based out of the Department of Home Affairs in Pretoria, which serves both the North West Province and the Gauteng Province (Brits).
