Direct Sales Consultant

About this role

Old Mutual is looking for a Direct Sales Consultant to work at its Pinelands office. You will help customers with everyday enquiries and support the sales team with simple selling tasks. The role also builds towards small sales targets.

What you’ll do

• Answer simple customer questions and handle routine service requests in person and on the phone.
• Greet customers, start friendly conversations and find out which product or service they want and how they plan to use it.
• Capture customer names and addresses on the CRM system when a sale is made, so follow-up contact is easy.
• Welcome visitors, answer basic questions and pass more complex matters to colleagues.
• Capture data on standard branch systems and file paperwork from counter transactions.
• Prepare documents using set templates, collate materials and make copies when needed.
• Follow set procedures to meet quality standards and the rules of the business and industry.

What you need

• NQF Level 3 qualification.
• NQF Level 2 qualification, below school leaving level, is also listed as an entry point.
• Good spoken communication and customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills for data capture and working with CRM software.
• Strong data management and record-keeping habits.
• Willingness to take part in training, coaching and development planning.
