Description of the Store Cleaner Job

The Dis-Chem Pharmacies location in Berea is looking to hire an experienced Cleaner for their location.
You will be responsible for ensuring that the store is kept tidy and clean in accordance with the hygiene requirements of Dis-Chem.
The shop floor, the stock room, the dispensary, the administrative office, and the canteen will all be included in these sections.

The bare necessities are as follows:

Matriculation or Grade 12
A minimum of six months’ worth of experience in cleaning
Strong facility in the use of the English language
Primitive support for customers
Additional terminology that is particular to the region
Ready and able to work during normal business hours

Cleaner Advantageous :

Dual language(Multi-lingual)
Previous experience working in the housekeeping department of retail stores

Description of the Job:

Before the store even opens, make sure that a very high level of cleanliness and hygiene has been maintained throughout the whole space, including the sales floor and any common areas.
Establish routines in order to guarantee that a high level of cleanliness is maintained throughout the entirety of the store.
Always check to see that the facilities and the canteen are both spotless and well-supplied with the items that are required.

Maintain availability for the entirety of the shift so that you can clean up on demand.
Make sure that the appropriate cleaning solutions and equipment are utilized for each task.
When cleaning the floor, check to see that the “wet floor” sign is displayed and can be seen from both ends.
Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor while also being able to assist consumers.
Carry out your responsibilities in accordance with the Health and Safety Regulations.

Cleaner Capabilities :

Previous training or experience in cleaning
Strong command of the English language, both in written and spoken form.

Possess the ability to listen to directions and carry them out.
Management of one’s time

Particular aspects of the working environment:

Ready and able to work during normal business hours
Capable of walking, standing, climbing, kneeling, bending, as well as pushing, pulling, lifting, and moving objects while maintaining a healthy physical condition.
Have access to dependable transportation or live in close proximity to the establishment in question.
Holder of a South African Citizenship
