We are looking for a reliable, energetic, and customer-focused General Assistant to join our corporate catering team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the daily food service operation by assisting with food preparation, serving customers, maintaining cleanliness standards, and ensuring an excellent dining experience for all clients and visitors. This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional service.

Duties & Responsibilities Assist with basic food preparation and meal service.
Serve food and beverages in a professional and courteous manner.
Prepare dining and service areas before, during, and after service.
Ensure counters, workstations, and dining areas are clean and well-maintained.
Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating stock according to company procedures.
Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as required.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and health and safety standards at all times.
Assist with the setup and clearing of meeting rooms, boardrooms, and corporate functions.
Support the catering team in achieving daily operational goals.
Provide excellent customer service to employees, clients, and visitors.
Skills and Competencies Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively within a team.
Reliable, punctual, and customer-service orientated.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform physical duties.


Qualifications
Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
Previous experience in catering, hospitality, food service, or a similar environment will be advantageous.
