REQUIREMENTS:

A suitable Bachelor of Social Work degree (National Qualifications Framework, Level 7) or an equivalent qualification.
The process of registering as a social worker with the South African Council for Social Service Professions.
The ability to be familiar with applicable public service legislation.
Being fluent in any of the languages that are recognized as official in the Free State Province. Participating in an internship or practicum placement within a social development environment will be an additional benefit.

Possessing a driver’s license that is still valid in South Africa will be an added advantage.
The candidate must have a working knowledge of computers.
Counseling, communication, planning, and organizing are all areas of expertise required.
Problem-solving, time management, stress management, diversity management, and conflict resolution are all skills that are important.
Capability to collaborate with people from a variety of fields.
Having knowledge and comprehension of the South African legislation that pertains to social services is absolutely necessary.

JOB DUTIES:

The provision of social work services pertaining to the care, support, protection, and development of vulnerable individuals, groups, families, and communities through the utilization of the appropriate programs.
It is important to pay attention to any other matter that may result in or originate from social instability in any aspect.
Maintain a current awareness of the advances that have been made in the fields of social work and social welfare.
This would involve a number of things, including the following: In order to ensure that new developments are taken into consideration, it is important to learn from professional journals and publications.
In a continuous manner, monitor and investigate the legal and policy framework pertaining to social services.
As directed, participate in activities that contribute to your ongoing professional development. Ensure that all administrative tasks that are necessary for the position are completed.
