Description of the Job

Provide assistance with cleaning and decontamination tasks, such as draining and cleaning vessels and pipes, unblocking pipes, and other similar activities.
Through the reporting of downtime caused by drum shortages, breakdowns, and other factors, packing machine run times can be optimized.

Each and every instance of downtime must be reported to the Team Leader without delay.
In the areas that fall under your purview, make certain that high housekeeping standards are maintained.
Carry out the instructions that have been given to you by the Team Leader.

Do not hesitate to inform the Team Leader of any and all relevant equipment breakdowns or deviations.
Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and secure status for the packaging lines.
Always make sure to follow the quality standards that have been set by the Plant Operator or Team Leader.
Contribute to the management team’s efforts to solve problems.

It is required that any and all non-conformance issues, such as spillages, products that do not meet specifications, packaging issues, and so on, be reported to the Team Leader.
Check that the appropriate quantity and type of packing material is collected from the stores, and make sure that the appropriate space is signed on the job cards that are relevant.

Maintain compliance with the production packing targets that have been specified by the Team Leader.
Required to comply with all applicable SHEQ rules and regulations in accordance with the policy of the company.
In accordance with the instructions given by the Team Leader or Production Manager, working in other work areas is required.

Occasionally required to carry out a variety of legal ad hoc tasks for which the incumbent possesses the necessary skills, as directed by the Team Leader.
To take part in and contribute to the upkeep of SHEQ Management System certificates and standards.

Qualities and previous work experience

A matriculation/Matric.
Possessing a valid forklift driver’s license, being able to operate a forklift, and having a medical condition that allows them to operate a forklift are all requirements.
Minimum of three to six months of experience working in an environment that involves production and/or packaging, as well as items related to those areas.
Experience driving a forklift for a minimum of six months is required.

If you want to successfully renew your forklift driver’s license, you are required to maintain a level of medical fitness that allows you to operate a forklift regularly.
Having a fundamental mastery of computers.
Capable of working both independently and as part of a team, as well as being able to multitask while paying close attention to small details.

Have an in-depth understanding of the processes involved in production.
Gaining an understanding of the standards and requirements for SHEQ Management Systems would be beneficial.
