Full job description

To perform the reconciliation for premiums to be receipted vs the actual payments received in the bank account. Prepare and provide premium recons to clients monthly analysing under or over payments. Perform credit control checks and follow PPR15 processes. Compare data on in-house system against the membership data received from 3rd parties and query discrepancies. Update in-house systems with relevant changes and/or notes. Ensure continuous. improvement in the most effective and efficient way. To support the delivery of a customer centric service in a manner which supports Bryte Life’s Guiding Principles.

Key Tasks & Accountabilities

  • Process monthly billing and allocation
  • To identify and allocate premiums receipted
  • Extract member data and perform comparison
  • Update In-house system with relevant changes
  • Liaise with Brokers, Fund and Employer contacts, etc.
  • Balance payments and bills monthly
  • Identify schemes where premiums have been short paid/non-payment and liaise with the Broker/Client
  • Ensure timeous follow up for outstanding premium and/or information
  • To assist in working with Business Divisions in order to align our activities to TCF and POPI requirements and best practices within the industry
  • Premium confirmation for claim payments, where necessary
  • Assist with adhoc queries
  • System UAT, where necessary
  • Any additional tasks as assigned
  • Perform all tasks timeously and with accuracy
  • Ensure timeous

Qualifications & Experience

  • Matric
  • Relevant business qualification
  • Minimum 6 years in similar role (EB Administration) Group Risk/Life
  • Understanding of Life Products and Employee Benefits
  • Good understanding of premium receipt and reconciliation processes
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Be able to demonstrate that in their previous experience they have gone the extra mile
  • ability to prioritise workloads and work to deadlines
  • Desire to learn and be flexible to business change

  • Administration platforms: MIP, EBSphere, Compass or similar

Relationships

Internal Relationship

  • To inform, engage and collaborate with Fund Administrators, Fund Accountants, and 3rd parties.
  • Engage with the Finance team to ensure timeous allocation of premiums.
  • Provide regular feedback to management
