Hair & Grooming Educator

About this role

Clicks Group is looking for a Hair & Grooming Educator to work in Cape Town. The person in this role will teach and mentor learners in hair and grooming, with a focus on barbering, so they reach both practical and theory standards.

What you’ll do

• Plan and run structured training programmes in hair and grooming, including barbering techniques.
• Show learners the practical skills they need and check that they reach competency standards.
• Assess learners against trade test standards and give clear, useful feedback.
• Keep accurate training records, schedules and admin paperwork.
• Follow local and international grooming and barbering trends, and bring new techniques into your teaching.
• Help support the academy with curriculum updates and training material.
• Make sure training meets regulatory and accreditation rules.

What you need

• Full trade test certification in Hair and Grooming (advantageous).
• Proven experience in barbering, grooming and hair services.
• Up-to-date knowledge of local and international hair and grooming trends.
• Experience in training, mentoring or education (preferred).
• Strong admin skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
• Ability to create and read reports, including KPIs and performance figures.
• Ability to travel to support recruitment and business needs.
