REQUIREMENTS:

Grade 10 or ABET or AET scores, or a qualification that is recognized by SAQA as being equivalent.
It will be to your advantage to have prior experience and knowledge in the field of security services.

JOB DUTIES:

To carry out the routine manual tasks associated with farming.
Movement of animals with cloven hooves can be controlled.
At the redline area, you are required to stop, register, and search the vehicle.
Examine the meat, dairy products, dung, grass, hides, skins, and other items.
All of the products that are listed in (ii) above should be kept confidential.

Ensure gate can be opened and closed.
Product confiscation should be reported to the supervisor so that further attention can be given.
Do a patrol around the fence.
Checking the redline fence on a regular basis.
Damage to the fence that was broken.
Along the redline fence, you should follow the animal tracks.
Remove any bushes that are located along the redline fence.
Management of animals that are in quarantine.

When an animal is quarantined, check the permit.
For the purpose of inspection, communicate with the Animal Health Technician.
Maintain a record of everything.
Maintain a register of permits.
Maintain a register for animals that are in quarantine.
Maintain a register for the movement of vehicles.
