Jewellery Sales and Design Advisor

About this role

TFG is recruiting a Jewellery Sales and Design Advisor for its store at Menlyn Park in Gauteng. The role is about helping customers choose jewellery, plan custom pieces and get the right product for a special occasion.

What you’ll do

• Serve customers on the shop floor, from first choices through to after-sales questions.
• Hold consultations to learn about each customer’s style, budget and occasion.
• Suggest jewellery and custom design options that suit what the customer wants.
• Explain stones, metals, warranties and care instructions in a clear, honest way.
• Handle sales, lay-bys, repairs, special orders and custom design requests accurately.
• Keep displays neat and in line with the company’s visual merchandising standards.
• Keep proper records of orders, repairs, alterations and bespoke requests, and work with jewellers and suppliers to get them delivered.

What you need

• Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.
• 2 years’ experience in jewellery, luxury, fashion or general retail, customer service or sales.
• Experience with high-value products and one-on-one customer consultations.
• Advantageous: a certificate or diploma in Jewellery Design, Retail Management, Fashion, Design, Sales or a related field.
• Advantageous: jewellery product knowledge training or gemology courses.
• Advantageous: exposure to design consultations, repairs, alterations or bespoke orders.
• Strong skills in sales techniques, upselling, point of sale operations and customer relationship management.
