Minimum Required Qualification:
Level 4: Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate) and National Cert level 4 Certificate GET Education, Training and Development
The Appointee should:
NQF 4 (National Senior Certificate or Grade 12) with Maths and Science
Advantageous Qualifications:
At least 2 years’ experience within a production processing plant environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Platinum Dissolve:
• Confirm availability of feed in the strong room.
• Prepare dissolve make-up in the Reactor Vessel.
• Verify feed weights to confirm batch weights and receive feed hoppers.
• Transact Product receipts on the MES system and transfer feed hoppers to the Platinum Section.
• Conduct Reactor Vessel inspections at the beginning of each batch.
• Make up reagents and charge feed into Reactor Vessel.
• Dose chemicals into Reactor Vessels.
• Monitor and control the Dissolve process and parameters (Time, Chemical flow rate, etc.).
• Drop Reactor Vessel contents onto glove-box filter.
• Transfer and transact Product to Pure Metals Department (PMD).
• Complete Process log sheets.
• pH8 Hydrolysis:
• Conduct Reactor Vessel inspections at the beginning of each batch.
• Calibrate probes (pH, ORP, etc.).
• Charge process liquor and dose chemicals and reagents into Reactor Vessels.
