Junior Draughtsperson

About this role

Hire Resolve is recruiting for a client in Vereeniging that works in concrete construction and structural steel engineering. The role is for a junior draughtsperson who wants to build technical skills on real construction projects in a close-knit, family-style team.

What you’ll do

• Prepare and update accurate technical drawings in AutoCAD.
• Produce and read both 2D and 3D engineering drawings.
• Help with structural steel detailing and concrete construction drawings.
• Work with engineers, project managers and team members to turn designs into finished work.
• Read technical specifications, construction plans and project requirements.
• Revise drawings when designs change or feedback comes in, and keep drawing records and technical documents in order.

What you need

• Matric certificate.
• N4 or N5 in Draughting, Engineering or a related technical field.
• About 2 to 3 years of relevant draughting experience.
• Practical experience using AutoCAD.
• Experience producing both 2D and 3D drawings.
• Essential: previous experience in concrete construction and structural steel engineering.
• A good understanding of construction drawings, steel structures and building projects.
• Strong attention to detail and good organisation.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
