Mine Manager (12-Months Fixed-Term)

About this role

Hire Resolve is recruiting on behalf of a mining client in the Northern Cape. The client needs an experienced Mine Manager in Hotazel for a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role leads life-of-mine planning and day-to-day production, with a focus on safe, efficient and cost-effective operations.

What you’ll do

• Manage and maintain the life-of-mine planning process.
• Lead continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
• Set up, monitor and report on production strategies, plans and schedules.
• Guide mining and plant operations so production targets are met.
• Inspect and assess pit performance, orebody knowledge and resource use.
• Track progress against plan and communicate it clearly.
• Write and maintain policies and procedures that follow mining, safety and legal requirements.
• Work closely with legal appointees and operational teams, and build strong stakeholder relationships.

What you need

• Grade 12.
• A degree or diploma in Mining Engineering.
• A Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency.
• At least 10 years’ experience in an open pit mining environment.
• A valid driver’s licence.
