General Store Assistant Job Description

General Store Assistant Main Purpose:

Responsible for assisting customers and achieving predetermined goals in order to guarantee the provision of the very best possible levels of customer service.

Line Manager: Store Manager

Key Performance Areas of General Store Assistant :

Cash control
Perform cash desk function
Daily procedures for cash management and banking operations are carried out.

Cash variances maintained
Manual transactions accurately recorded
Stock Control
Stock management processes are followed daily
Customer orders are followed up
Weekly stock counts are conducted accurately
Store room department in good condition
Shoe pairing exercise is completed weekly
Customer Service
Provide excellent customer service
Internal & external customer relationship building
Maintain good customer relationships
Product knowledge

Experience:

Minimum 1 years’ retail experience

General Store Assistant Qualifications:

Complete Matric/Grade 12

Additional Requirements for General Store Assistant :

Retail administration disciplines
Stock & cash management
Product knowledge
Sales knowledge and selling skills
A familiarity with and comprehension of the policies and procedures pertaining to the cash desk, stockroom, and administrative functions, along with any other pertinent policies
