Learnership: Artisan Maintenance

About this role

Sasol, the global chemicals and energy company, is recruiting learners for its Secunda site in Mpumalanga. This is a learnership, so you will learn on the job while you also study. The programme runs on a fixed-term contract of 36 months.

What you’ll do

• Train on the job in one of five artisan fields: mechanical fitting, instrumentation, electrical, welding or rigging.
• Complete the structured or institutional learning that goes with the programme.
• Take part in all the workplace readiness activities and exercises you are asked to do.
• Pass the learnership assessment process to complete the programme.

What you need

• Either a National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or an equivalent, with a pass in Technical Mathematics or Mathematics, English, and Technical or Physical Science.
• Or an N3 National Senior Certificate (6 subjects), with a pass in Mathematics, English and Engineering Science.
• Willingness to learn practical, hands-on skills in the field you are placed in.
