Concerning the Position
The Mechanical Technician will be based in South Africa, Enstra and the role is to provide timely maintenance support to operations on a daily basis, ensuring optimal equipment availability. Driving optimal asset performance while remaining safe.
What are your plans?
Safety:
Always follow all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) rules and regulations. (For example, ten critical safety rules and three obligations)
Ensure that all safety job cards are completed by the deadline.
Quality:
Attend to faulty equipment.
Rework should be avoided.
Plant check lists are reviewed and signed on a daily basis.
Completion of SAP notification. Compliance with the PM process.
Housekeeping: Maintain world-class housekeeping standards in accordance with the 5’s housekeeping standards.
Maintain Equipment Maintenance
Productivity:
Corrects nonconformities in equipment.
Executes statutory and KCC equipment maintenance standards.
Maintains a wide variety of mechanical equipment, including pumps, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, operations, and process, to improve overall asset performance.
Lubricate the rotating equipment.
What exactly are we looking for?
Mechanical Trade Tested with N3 or equivalent tertiary qualification. (The Red Seal)
A minimum of two years of post-trade test experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment is required.
Knowledge of pulp and paper will be advantageous.
Understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Technical and process knowledge of the pulp and paper industry.
A standby employee who can work on a rotational basis.
An incumbent with mill-wide engineering fault-finding abilities.
Ability to solve logical problems
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
