Job Description

National Asphalt is looking for an experienced and safety-focused Millwright to join our maintenance team in Estcourt. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the reliable operation of plant and equipment through the installation, maintenance, fault-finding, and repair of industrial machinery. The successful candidate will play a key role in minimising downtime and maintaining optimal plant performance.
While based at our Estcourt commercial site, the successful incumbent will be required to travel to other operational sites within the region to provide maintenance and technical support when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and align industrial machinery and equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform corrective maintenance
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Perform preventive maintenance on machines
• Use precision tools and equipment
• Work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Follow all safety procedures and protocols

Qualifying Criteria:

• Red Seal (Trade Tested: Millwright with Minimum 2 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read technical drawings and use diagnostic tools
• Hands-on working experience in a maintenance or manufacturing environment is essential
• Experience in hydraulic system design and maintenance advantageous
• Valid driver’s license
• Must be fully Computer literate (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook)
• Must have Strong proven administrative skills
• Knowledgeable on the Occupational Health & Safety
