About this role
VKB Group, an agricultural business based in Reitz, Free State, is hiring a Quality Assurance Graduate for its Information and Technology division at Head Office. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role helps make sure that business systems and technology solutions work as they should for users across the group.
What you’ll do
- Learn the VKB quality assurance framework, methods and standards.
- Run manual tests on business-as-usual work and project systems.
- Write test scenarios and test cases.
- Find, record and follow up on system defects through the right channels.
- Help investigate defects and work with stakeholders to fix them.
- Look at test results to spot repeat problems and quality trends, and report on progress.
What you need
- Grade 12 (matric).
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Studies or a related field (advantageous).
- A mix of Information Technology and Commerce subjects (advantageous).
- Entry-level graduate role. Candidates with at least two years’ relevant experience within the VKB Group may be considered, even without a degree.
- Exposure to agricultural business processes (advantageous).
- Manual software testing and defect tracking skills.
- Good computer skills and an understanding of software development and quality assurance basics.
- Exposure to programming concepts (advantageous).
- Strong written and spoken communication, and good time management.
