REQUIREMENTS

– NQF Level 1 or 2

– ABET Level 2 certificate or equivalent

KEY DUTIES

– Construct culverts and side drains

– Erect and maintain steel guardrails and gabions

– Assist with fencing and pole erection

– Clean and maintain roads, sidewalks and resting areas

– Carry out road surfacing and pothole patching

– Assist with road markings and signage

– Set road markings, studs, signs and distance marker

– Barricade work areas, crush road material, clear bushes and cut grass

*INHERENT REQUIREMENTS OF THE POST*  

Successful candidates must be physically fit and able to perform manual road maintenance and construction duties outdoors, including standing for long periods and handling tools and materials.
