IN REGARDS TO THE FUNCTIONS AND AIM OF THE POSITION
This Maintenance Operator will help the Maintenance Team by keeping equipment in good shape and making sure it works reliably, all while following procedures and codes. The end goal of this support is to make the equipment more stable and keep it in good shape for long-term use.
FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS
- Accurately complete all tasks and checklists that are specific to the job.
- conducting a visual inspection of the working environment to check that safety standards are being followed and reporting any unsafe conditions to a higher authority.
- The implementation of job-specific SOPs and COPs in order to guarantee that housekeeping standards are met and maintained.
- Contribute to the accomplishment of the team’s goals in an efficient and effective manner as a member of the team.
- With an awareness of how the costs incurred by your team are affected by your actions, determine and implement strategies for cost reduction.
- Describe all of the activities associated with the task. JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:
(Desirable) Completion of English, Mathematics, or Physical Science as well as Engineering Science Level 2 Mechanical for Grade 12/N3/NCV Level 4 students
A certificate in first aid would be nice.
Capable of obtaining a Medical Certificate of Fitness with Five Gases and Competent A or B (wish)
Specific experience required
- 12 months of experience working in underground coal mines (Wish).
