Senior Advisor Security Investigations

About this role

Eskom, the state-owned electricity utility, is looking for two Senior Advisors for Security Investigations. The posts are based in the MWP and Mpumalanga areas of Gauteng and Mpumalanga. The role looks into serious, high-impact and unusual risk events, and supports the Criminal Justice System.

What you’ll do

• Lead complex security investigations from start to finish.
• Plan how evidence will be collected, and handle crime scene investigations.
• Examine financial records and documents, and build offender profiles.
• Prepare clear investigation reports and evidence files for court.
• Give advice and consulting support to management, and work with managers at all levels.
• Provide support after investigations are complete.

What you need

• A B Degree, B Tech or Advanced Diploma in Security Management, Policing, Forensic Science, Law or Auditing at NQF7 (360 credits).
• At least five years’ experience investigating crime.
• Good knowledge of the criminal justice system and legal processes, including relevant legislation and regulations.
• Knowledge of Eskom policies, procedures, standards and directives is an advantage.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Leadership, coaching and mentoring skills, and a team player mindset.
• Honesty, integrity and professionalism.
